Day 3 Call to Prayer 03/21/2011
I have the privilege to be praying daily with two local brothers during this Call to Prayer. It’s been incredible hearing what’s in their heart as they pray and seek God.

Day 2 Call to Prayer – East Asian students are eager to hear about different ideas so they are open to hearing about Mormonism, Christianity and many other faiths. It’s good that they discover what these beliefs represent but it’s eternally vital they discover who designed Truth and what the Truth is.
Day 1 Call to Prayer 03/20/2011
I’m honored that you are joining our Call to Prayer. Like I mentioned in my original Call to Prayer email, I believe God is preparing a rapid advancement of His Gospel among East Asian college students and it will be something we can’t calculate with human wisdom. It will be an act of God led by the Holy Spirit.
Anxiety Effects from Japan's Earthquake 03/17/2011
I’m sure you’re keeping up with the events in Japan so I won’t talk about those details. I do want to discuss what’s happening in East Asia.
Anxiety and fear is high and widespread. Many fear the nuclear problems in Japan may affect us here very soon, although the US Embassy has told us that there is no evidence there is any threat to this nation in the near future. The Unexpected Move 01/25/2011
I love surprises, at least good ones, and I got to observe one recently at a recent baptism service we hosted in cooperation with a local pastor.
The service began with music then the pastor transitioned into sharing about baptism, its meaning and how it takes place. He asked those in attendance who had repented and had faith in Jesus. I noticed Alan had his hand raised. My East Asian language ability is improving but still limited so I thought “Maybe I misunderstood the pastor”. When it was time for those desiring baptism to go to the changing rooms, Alan stood and went. WOW! It was obvious that I understood the pastor enough so let me share my experience with Alan. Looking forward to 2011 01/20/2011
Last year, after much prayer, we launched our discipleship small groups. Initially, three were established and I am thrilled. We witnessed students surrender their lives to Jesus, get baptized and mature in their faith. But there was one thing missing, a local indigenous partner.
Hatred washed away 01/05/2011
When we first launched our discipleship small groups in August 2010, there was one particular student (Sister in Christ) with a strong hatred toward two specific Asian nationalities because of their history. It appeared no matter what was said to encourage her to love them, she would not.
Today at 730pm, Hong Kong Time Zone, we launch our new weekly prayer effort centering our prayer around the following three areas.
Small Groups Launched 09/08/2010
We're excited to announce the expansion of our discipleship ministry. Beginning the fall semester of 2010, we have officially launched our small groups. These groups will include both college students and young college graduates and focus on bible studies (using only the Bible), community ministry projects and a cross-cultural mission trip. Some of the bible study topics will include "Cost of Following Jesus", "Great Commandment/Great Commission", "Identity/Authority in Jesus" and other biblical topics. "The 10" Are on the Move 05/22/2010
Within a week, "The 10" will be among the UPG within the next 48 hours. Please pray for travel safety, favor among the people and opportunities to spread the Gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit! FYI - "The 10" refers to 10 seminary students from an underground seminary in East Asia who is serving this next month among an Unreached People Group providing humanitarian relief efforts and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. | archivesNovember 2011 categoriesAll |
