Embrace A Campus

“Embrace A Campus” is a strategic opportunity for local churches outside East Asia to be involved in what God is doing within the university community in East Asia. University students in East Asia number about 25 million and only 0.5% are followers of Jesus.
Our vision is to see every disciple multiplying disciples resulting in every church multiplying churches until every people group is reached with the Gospel and this is where your church can fit into the equation.
When a church takes ownership of a ministry, sends its own people and provide resources for the ministry focus, we believe they can be far more effective than a missionary simply going through a mission agency. At the same time, we understand that serving in East Asia brings challenges that most churches are not familiar with and need help with. This is why we established the “Embrace A Campus” initiative.
This initiative is a partnership between a local church and CrossCampus International. The church is God’s agent for reaching the world and we have the ability to equip them specifically for this context. With each of us having different strengths and weaknesses, we can partner together and be more effective. To help you see how we can work together, here is a basic framework outlining each of our responsibilities.

• Pray for your church often • Keep your church updated with the results • Provide the supervision on the field for everyone your church sends • Train all volunteers and team members • Administrative oversight • Provide vision and direction | _Church Responsibilities
• Pray for students, your people and us • Send people from your church on short-term trips and for one year assignments as agreed upon • Engage students with the Gospel • Provide resources to support your people • Establish a church that multiplies churches |
_Beyond this basic framework, we have outlined six steps to help you see how we all progress in researching, establishing and launching a partnership together. These five steps are:
Step One: Send a small team of leaders on a vision trip to see firsthand what God is doing among students in East Asia, to meet and learn from our team on the field and to see firsthand how this partnership will look.
Step Two: After the vision trip, we all decide through prayer whether to move forward or not. This step requires that we are all sense God leading us to partner together. If we move forward, we will work together to establish more specific terms of this partnership for the sake of clarity.
Step Three: Your church launches a prayer initiative for the “Embraced” campus(es) and we work together to establish a plan to send your people to the “Embraced” campus(es) for various lengths of time.
Step Four: We begin training your people, launching your teams and begin evangelizing students.
Step Five: We work together to see the first-generation church established and multiplying.
