job faqs

  1. What kind of people are you looking for?

We are looking for globally-minded Jesus followers who are growing in their relationship with Christ.  We are looking for people who believe in our vision, can take our vision as their vision and who can serve as a member of our team.  We are looking for servant leaders who are humble, willing to learn, passionate for the Great Commission & Great Commandment, good communicator and have been mentored and understands our method of mentoring.

  2. Do I need to raise support?

Yes, each position with CCI is faith based.  This means that all our staff positions are funded through the financial support of other believers, local churches, businesses and/or organizations.

Because we know that this can be an intimidating thing in applying for a job, we really want you to know that we will help you with this entire process.  Having a support team means great relationships, and a group of people who are praying for you as you develop into your new position with CCI.

Our commitment to you is this.  We’ll pray for you, mentor you, train you and help you any way we can.  If anyone on staff can refer you to a contact, they will.  We are here to help each other because we are a team.

  3. What will the support raised be used for?

They will provide you with your paycheck, medical insurance & travel & ministry expenses.

Also, because we are a team, we must share in the overall administrative expenses like legal, accounting, office expenses and so forth.  Currently, our policy (voted by the board of directors) is that 10% of all support raised will be set aside for administrative purposes.l

  4. Will I get a regular paycheck & when will it begin?

Yes, staff is paid on the 15th and last day of each month.  Each salary is determined by the board of directors based on the need of each staff person and position being filled.  Once you raise all your support goal, you will begin working in your ministry role and your paychecks will begin.

  5. Do I need to be out of debt?

No, so as long as your debt is manageable and you are working in the direction of becoming debt free.   We understand that people can be called into ministry while having debt.  We are in favor of being debt free and are thankful that our ministry is debt free.  We will also work with each person to find resources to help each staff person become debt free.

  6. Do I need cross-cultural ministry experience to work for CCI?

It will depend on the position you apply for.  Some positions require this but others do not.  Experience specifically in East Asia is not a pre-requisite.  If you have questions about the level of experience needed, please contact us at office@crosscampus.net.

  7. Will I receive training?

To be honest, we are working on this process.  We are a small ministry and do not have our own training facility.  However, we are communicating with a like-minded organization about sharing in their training, specifically for our staff living in East Asia.  For individuals applying for positions in the US, the training will most likely take place as “On the Job Training”, at least initially.
